When the database needs to be synchronized, a popup comes up with this message and buttons to view the queries and to start the synchronization. In my case the synchronize button was missing. A workaround for me was to hit the enter button as the synchronization button was default selected. After I changed my display settings on DPI back to normal (96 DPI), I now see the synchronize button! Problem solved.
