Report: Is it possible to apply selected parameter when zooming in on basic report?

I have a basic report with a parameter. I have related a datagrid to the zoom option on the report. It turns out that the filter applied to the basic report by the parameter is not applied to the datagrid when zooming in. Basically making the zoomfunction not usable. Is there a way to process the parameter value?
