Is there any danger changing the email from adress?

Are there any special steps I should take to avoid emails sent by the Mendix application to be marked as spam? I am currently running an application in the Mendix cloud, and using the build in SMPT server for sending out email messages. Since we are in the process of rebranding, the 'from' email adress will be changed from example.nl to rebranded.com. A short internet search mentions something about adding a spf DNS record.
