How can I display the duration between two dates on chart

Hi, I want to display time duration between two dates on chart. For eg. I have two plants. Each plant has multiple events and each event has start date and end date. So I want to display plants name on y axis and years on x axis. I should be look like below image. How can I do this? Thanks, Apoorva
