Block/Mark Forum Answer Pasted from ChatGPT, Points for Downvoting a Post

16

"Fortunately" (or unfortunately) ChatGPT is often wrong regarding Mendix questions, so this is only beginning to be a problem. But sometimes it is like 80 % right, so people are pasting answers from it into the forums in hope to get more points ("point farming"). This is slowly making all forums and social media much worse and full of AI slop (even Reddit, LinkedIn, OutSystems community etc.). It would be good to have a possibility to simply mark a certain post as "probable AI content". If it has more flags like this, the post would be eg hidden or moderators would check and delete or flag it as AI generated (and there would be 0 points for such a post). We also should not get negative points for downvoting a post. By downvoting a post we are helping other users to filter out low quality and AI generated spam, so we should get positive points, not negative. The overall goal should be to have useful forums with good quality helpful answers. If we want to ask AI, we can ask Maia or other models, no need to spam forums with it.

I never understood why there are negative points for giving a downvote.

Hello,

Yes, 100% agreed with you.

Even experienced many of the solutions doesn't even available when looking into specific area.

Probably it would be better if it could be possible to 'disable' copy & paste content in the Comments or Answer section.

Thanks.

Agreed, I've seen a few posts on the Mendix forums where the author of the question has said the answer given fundamentally doesn't work (i.e. chatbot hallucination where it describes things that don't exist in the Mendix environment).
