Converting Word files to PDF retaining custom fonts

Dear community, I have a use case in which I need to upload a file with complex characters (such as thai, arabic, etc) and convert it to a PDF while retaining fonts. I am using java actions with the Aspose library to do the conversion, already tried a few settings in an attempt to retain the original font in the document but nothing works. It feels like the font would have to be installed on the server. Has anyone done this already? Thank you
