View a Table from SQL 2019 on the MendixV10

Good day Everyone. I see massive potential with the Mendix , platform how ever even by just following the basic guide of the mendix platform from youtube making the “ExternalDB” with 1 table called dbo.courses. With Version 10 and Version 8.4.1 (Which is used in the youtube vid) its impossible to get the data to display. as I keep up ending up with the same error and in the comment section it is the same error as well reported by other users. This is the first part of the Tutorial. [User 'Anonymous_1790c5a7-ecbc-4c00-87c2-e0dfcf2888cf' with session id '5e008ade-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXX9ff2' and roles 'Administrator'] Even if you change the user to not go from Anonymous , to another user it is the same error. An error has occurred while handling the request. [User 'MxAdmin' with session id 'f6a2e49c-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXaaec' and roles 'Administrator'] That is the error that pops up and when you want to view the data in the Mendix site it shows “An Error occurred please contact your system administrator” I ultimately just want to get 1 view or table from SQL to view the mendix data , I googled , ChatGPT’d , and read the forums for other issues to no success , some assistance in this matter would help greatly and also other users understand the basic concept of the Mendix studio pro.

Hi Morne,

It looks like the JDBC driver is not present in your application.

The JDBC driver libraries (.jar extension) for the databases you want to connect to must be placed inside the userlib directory of your Mendix application.
