Question from a beginner. In our application we still use the old email module. What would be a reason to switch to the new email connector module?

Hi Jeffrey,

I think the most important reason would be support. Assuming you are using EmailTemplate module, it's level of support dropped from Platform support to Community support and it's latest release is of August '22.

As switching to another Email module is quite cumbersome, you could stick with the current version if Support isn't too important.

So ask yourself which features you use from the old module (how much work to migrate) and whether the risk of community-supported modules is worth it.

Theoretically, there could be a security risk, which may be noticed late and urgent to fix. Personally, I think this chance is very low.
