Hello, We would like to get the data from our on-premise database into our Mendix application using External Database connector. Does anyone know, how is the connection between an on-premise database and AWS hosted Mendix application established? Does it occur over a “direct connect” or over public internet?

Your on prem database needs to be accessible from outside of your company (AWS/Mendix cloud in this case). The default is over public internet with ofcourse the restrictions/security set by your company and required by Mendix cloud.
