Not exactly sure what your usecase is, but by reversing your sort order, you can get the last item on the top of your Datagrid. Datagrids are primarily used to view lists of data, while dataviews are used to display a single data item.

You can also set a dataview to listen to a widget, hence when selecting an item in the datagrid, you can then view it in the dataview.
