What is the architecture of the system built in Mendix?

Hi, I am a beginner in using Mendix. I’ve read some documents and built an app using Mendix but I couldn’t find the answer to my following questions: What is the architecture of the system that we build using Mendix? I suppose it should be SOA or maybe Microservices, but I am not sure and I am eager to know how Mendix defines the architecture of the system. Is there any way to force the Mendix platform on using a specific architecture for building a system? Thank you in advance, Faezeh
