Generate APK file for Hybrid Mobile App to download from website

Hi Everyone I want to create an APK file for my Hybrid mobile app which can be downloaded from a website or private server (does'nt require generating a keystore and uploading to Phonegap build). I used Android studio to generate a signed APK. After downloading app package from Mendix I selected the "Basic Activity” Project template in Android Studio and followed the steps mentioned in 4.4.3.2 in below tutorial: https://docs.mendix.com/developerportal/deploy/mobileapp#building-android-locally However after installing the generated APK file in my Android mobile device im only seeing the blank screens that are part of the template i initially selected. What did i do wrong?
