API Services (Specifically Deploy)

I'm not really an expert at this, but I cannot figure out how to make a call to the deploy API and authenticate properly with my login and API key. I've tried it many different ways using both SoapUI and curl, and I just get authentication failed any way I try it. Can someone give me a specific example request how I should format it in order for this to work? And/or how I would make a REST call in a Mendix application to get it to work. Thanks much!

With SoapUI you can use these settings, maybe you can give an example of how you tried it.
