NFC Reader for iOS

What statements do I need to add to the Custom PhoneGap/Cordova Configuration in the mobile app build in Mendix to get the NFC Reader working? I have added  <gap:plugin name="phonegap-nfc" source="npm" /> and it works on Android build but not iOS.

NFC on iOS is not as fully supported as on Android. In iOS 12 NFC functionality will be extended.
