Is it possible to monitor the performance/quality of the app without using the Add on? Any API calls or any other way to find out the information on this? Cheers Kavitha.

Depends on your deployment scenario, the Mendix Runtime has an monitoring API that you could use: https://docs.mendix.com/refguide6/monitoring-mendix-runtime

Except for the cloud monitoring there is no way of knowing without adding some sort of monitoring tools into the application.
