RandomStrongPassword Java action breaks after upgrading to Mendix 8

Hi Forum, When saving user accounts, I use the RandomStrongPassword Java action from the CommunityCommons. However, since I upgraded my project from Mendix 7 to Mendix 8, it throws the following error: Error in execution of monitored action 'RegularClientAction' (execution id: 1602654812701-39, execution type: CLIENT) -------- java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: org.apache.commons.lang3.RandomStringUtils.randomAlphanumeric(II)Ljava/lang/String; at org.apache.commons.lang3.jar lib in favor of the newer commons-lang3.jar lib, but the error persists. I have also already updated CommunityCommons to the last version (8.2), and deleted and readded the RandomStrongPassword action. These are all the libs in my project that have “lang3” in them: Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks, Ruben

I now see a 3.1 and a 3.7. So keep commons-lang3-3.7.jar and remove the older one.

I solved this issue by changing the StringUtils.java file in the CommunityCommons javasource folder. My version of org.apache.commons.lang3 has a randomAlphanumeric method that accepts only one integer. To solve this, I removed one of the integers provided to the method in the StringUtils.java file.
Next to that, I made a ticket for Mendix to possibly change this in their communitycommons module so that this issue does not appear again.

I have had this problem before, and found the solution was to downgrade to a slightly earlier version of Community Commons. You may also need to clean out the userlib to remove any Community Commons jar files first.

Community Commons version 8.1.0 doesn't have this problem. All versions above do.
