Excel Exporter in 8.x should support export to xlsm (macro-enabled) Excel templates. Furthermore in 8.x, the Excel Exporter no longer exports to Static Data rows as it did in past. Of course, a work-around is to export what would otherwise be static data as column data and later parse that out of the columns.
