The multifield search appstore widget creates an invalid xpath expression when entering a single quote

Is there a way to avoid this? Obviously, the single quote needs to be escaped, I guess in Xpath by ‘’ The user now gets this general error pop-up, when a single quote is entered in a search filter, where the multifield widget is used. I already found this , but no action until now.
