Need to understand how global search module from marketplace works?

Hi team, I want to implemet global search module from marketplace in one of my app. I went through the document but I am not able to understand how it works and what things I need to change according to my requiremnts as I am new in mendix. Can any one please help me out with global search module with any small example please?
