Problems with Excel Exporter - Datetime attributes dont export/are a blank cell

I have two spreadsheets created in the Excel Exporter module and the export works great with the exception of any datetime attributes I am using. The cells in the columns with datetime attributes are blank. I have tried with the latest version of the module, v5.0.6, and with the version I originally had installed, v5.0.2, and both exhibit the same behavior. The date format selected in the template is mm/dd/yyyy, and our app uses a custom date format of MM-dd-yyyy. I have tried removing the custom date format for the application, which also had no effect. Has anyone else had this issue and solved it?

Had the same. But when I runned the app local there where no problems. I think it had to do with the local settings for date time, they must be the same as the server
