How to map a value of entity which has many to many association with another entity

Hello, I have to create an object of an entity , let us suppose entity A and entity A and B are associated as many to many. In create object activity I am not able to map the value of entity B with entity A, it is sayin like it should be string not reference. How can I proceed with it. please help, its urgent Thanks, Trishla
