WIll the Mx 7 removal of sign-in microflow impact after SAML after sign-in microflow ?

While planning our upgrade to Mx 7 I read in the documentation of the removal of the sign-in microflow. I read in Herbert's post (https://forum.mendix.com/link/questions/87216) that there is now a module in the app store that will potentially solve problems created by the removal of this feature. My question is, does this impact microflows called after sign-in from SAML? A very large percentage of our users are signing in through SAML, and we have the exact anonymous shopping cart scenario that Herbert references in his post.
