Microflow To Open Page From Navigation Button

Hello – I was trying the microflow outlined in this thread https://community.mendix.com/link/ideas/732 to have a page open from a Navigation button. I still get an error similar to this thread https://community.mendix.com/link/questions/18072 except the last part of my error says “which is not available here.” Any ideas what I might be missing?

Dear Sue,

The microflow mentioned in link that you provided is still just an idea. Also, the error that you’re facing is the same as the error that was mentioned in the thread that you linked. So, if there is a dataview in the open that you’re trying to open, you have to pass an object of the same type to the page.

I’ve taken the introductory course and have level 1 (intro) certification. That training, however, only had us open data grid from a Navigation item. The other microflow examples were calculation-driven and not opening a non-data grid from Navigation. Is there a How To anywhere for this? I’ve googled around and cannot find one.

Here’s what I have so far in my microflow. When I attach this microflow to a Navigation item, the dataview opens but no data pulls in?
