MiN no longer finds the App-server running on my laptop

Although my laptop is on the same wifi connection as my Panasonic Toughbook scanner when running MiN on my scanner, it gives the familiar error: but it is running: Again: client (scanner, Android 8) and server (laptop) are on the same wifi-connection. Changing the ‘Enable dev mode' or 'Clear data' has no effect, as to be expected. Connected the scanner via an usb-cable to my laptop, opened Powershell and issued ‘adb logcat’ but there are no log messages related to this connection issue at all.   Any ideas what else to check?

Any Firewall updates recently which might have tightened your network settings?
