Destructive model changes with OTA updates (native)

Hi everyone, The documentation states that destructive model changes are not possible with OTA updates. However, it is not documentated what is actually meant with destructive model changes. For example, can I add an extra (attribute to an) entity and then do an OTA release? Or will this cause errors? Does anyone have a definition of / experience with this?
