How to add custom fonts in mendix native

I've followed the steps in the Mendix documentation, added fonts to the custom fonts, created a build, and then copied the font snippet into the custom variables file, applying the specific class. Have you followed the documentation? I also encountered the same problem, fixed by moving the code snippets from custom-variables to main.js in styling/native/main.js and it started working for me.
