Hi, I was wondering if it was possible to create a link or something similar that when clicked will prompt the user to ask if they wish to add a button on their homepage of their mobile phone that goes directly to a specified Mendix broswer app. The users of course can just use their browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.) to go to the web address for the Mendix app and from there add a button on the homepage going to that site, but I’m wondering if I can make the process easier for them by sending them an email with a link that does this.

Based on my searches, I think the answer to your question is: no.
This would be a function specific to iOS or Android and not something specific to Mendix. I did find one article encouraging users to add the app to their home screen, but it’s just a pop-up with a recommendation and a diagram: https://dockyard.com/blog/2017/09/27/encouraging-pwa-installation-on-ios
