Configurations back in top bar

Our model is used over multiple clients. We use configurations a lot so we can switch between client environments.

In the old days the configuration was available in the top bar. Even though there is still a lot of room here for some reason this was removed from this bar.

Could this setting be placed there again? We miss it very much. Or even better could a setting be made that the user could choose if it wishes to see this in this bar?
