Smaller document tabs for more overview

Most of the time, I have opened at least 10 document tabs. Only 6 tabs will be shown in the interface. Would be nice if the tabs can be made a bit smaller, so more tabs can fit next to each other without needing to use the dropdown on the right.

I like how chrome does this, it just has a max width, and then when there are more they get smaller and the text is cut off.
something like this would def work well.
