Timestamp format in UI Resources to use the default locale

The timestamps for the Created and Edited properties in UI Resources currently use a US month/day/year format.

Would it be possible for this to pick on the user's locale and format the dates accordingly?

For example, if I am in the United Kingdom, I would like the dates to be shown as day/month/year.
