provide a full text search capability so I can search for classes, variables or anything that appears in any file within that directory and any subdirectories.

a love this idea, and this is super powerful.
but IMO I'd rather have MX focus on things that we can't already do in other tools such as VsCode.
we also often use the compare feature that allows you to compare 2 code base's with each other, which is handy when jumping on a new project, and discovering who has edited files in locations you might not expect.
