Possibility to have an LTS that has less bugs
I know, it's an akward "idea", so rudimentary, but I think it's about time to have an LTS that has not so much bugs. An LTS that - perhaps - has less focus on functionality and more on stability. It gets harder and harder to keep customers at bay when as a developer you have to say "sorry, I wasted a couple of hours because of bugs in my modeller". I hear myself saying that too often.
Just to mention a few of this "hard to find a reproduction path for" issues (all faced in the last few days!):
All in Studio Pro 10.24.x (LTS!):
- renaming of elements often flaws. Copy an element, rename the new one and the original one. Studio says "OK!" nothing seems wrong. But errors can arise when deploying or creating a package. When closing and reopening your model, the error checking recognizes that renaming went wrong, resulting in errors.
- rerunning locally just hangs. Stop and restart is needed.
- strange errors in repository/commits, completely destroyed revisions:
- and no, "revert all" did not work. Downloading from GIT did not work. There were two revisions that were somehow ruined
- not able to merge because "you have not committed your changes", even after a "Revert all changes"
Is it just me having these frustrations? (No, it's not. I have colleagues.) Is it my lack of knowledge somehow? (could be in some situations)
I just don't know how to bring this to attention to Mendix. That a working Studio Pro, that is not filled with bugs, is a prerequisite for my work. That I love all the new features, but I would really love a stable working environment, especially when it's an LTS/MTS.
Perhaps, if you agree and find such annoying issues as well, you could post it as a comment on this idea? So as to make clear that (I.M.H.O.) focus must be shifted towards better quality?

Hi Maurice, let me first acknowledge that we're aware of these kind of frustrations in general and are actively working on increasing the overall experience in this regard. I understand the pain, and hope you can help us provide information to improve.
For the Version Control-specific topics (as I'm the PM for that), I would like to ask you to reach out to us through a Support ticket. First of all the 'something wrong happened' should really be an exotic corner case that we don't expect to happen, and secondly if resolving through a 'revert all' or redownload also leads to issues, that's even worse. If you can help us by providing logs and possibly reproduction steps, we will prioritize investigating this, as it may be an important early warning signal of future issues for other customers.
