It would be nice if Mendix automatically sends you an email, when a new version of the Modeler becomes available, so you can update your Modeler application.
Note: You latest downloaded Modeler versions is already recorded by Mendix (see the Staying up to date badge in your Mendix user profile).
As an extra, this could be an opt in/out feature within your profile.

You could always follow @MendixDeveloper on Twitter, they post a tweet everytime a new modeler is released. And Pim van der Noll does the same :-)
