Going with the latest and greatest is always risky.  I would say that it depends on what functionality you are using in your application.  There is an odd module that is not fully supported when you try to download it from Mendix MarketPlace.  With a bit of know-how, you can probably get around issues with whatever you experience.  It will not be as smooth a ride as you would otherwise have.  There are a few features that are still in beta, so bear this in mind too.
