My expectation is that PWA, like the older Native and Hybrid-platforms, does not support *-* and that this entire manual applies to PWA too: https://docs.mendix.com/refguide/offline-first. So in a nutshell: add an extra entity and two 1-* to it, replacing the one *-* association.
