Merge local branch (branched out from deleted branch) to a new main branch?

Hi everyone,    I have a branch that was created from DEV branch. We had to delete DEV branch and re-create it from PROD branch. Can I merge my branch (initially created based on old DEV) to a newly created DEV branch?   Anyone knows the outcome of it?

Hi , 

You can merge the changes in new branch from the old branchline before deleting the old one
