The doc says to use Parallels Pro Edition, which costs more. I just upgraded from Parallels 16 to 18, but still Standard Edition. To upgrade to Pro Edition is $120 more. The Network Port configuration described in the doc does not seem to be present in Parallels Standard Edition. Question is: can I run Mendix Studio using Parallels Standard Edition?

Parallels pro is a best choice, standard lack of port forward so you can not run mendix (http://localhost:8080) outside the vmware, it is sometime annoying.
VirtualBox is also another choice, but for mac with intel chip only.
