SQL server connection with Mendix

While connecting with SQL server type as built in database and selecting the port as localhost:1433 , I tried to run the application. It should optimize the domain model based on my database table which is running on my SQL server in local system, on its own right? and run the application? then what does this error mean ?Why the application is not running locally? Is my port number different? But I thought Port for MSSQL is generally 1433 by default.

Hi Sanjukta,
Does your local firewall allow connections on 1433? By default, it should drop these connections.
