Exit intent (wait dont go) - I want an error to pop up if a user has amended a page and then leaving without saving

Good Afternoon, I have an app, where you can amend details in a page, then leave via the navigation bar without saving. I want there to be a pop up if the user tries to leave the page without saving. I have downloaded the widget from the Marketplace, Exit Intent (Wait Don’t Go) but can’t seem to get it to work. By looking at the forum I’m not sure it works on more recent Mendix versions. Can anyone help? either guide me on the marketplace widget, or another way of doing it. Thanks very much Jess
