How to prevent /releases/ folder from getting added back into .gitignore when codes are committed using Mendix Studio Pro?

Hi, I'm trying to commit the /releases/ folder to our private GitLab repository using Mendix Studio Pro. However, the pre-assigned .gitignore file by Mendix Studio Pro is preventing this, as it keeps being re-added when we commit through the platform, even after removal. Are there any settings in Mendix Studio Pro that allow us to configure the .gitignore file to exclude specific folders, like /releases/, from being ignored? Thanks! (Let's say we don't want to commit separately without going through Mendix Studio Pro)
