Currently, when I update my Mendix app on the production environment of my customer we do so by arranging a suitable time for updating. As my customer is a medium sized enterprise without dedicated IT department these updates are arranged at lunch times or at the end of office hours. As a result it is common that stopping the Mendix app in its current environment results in messages indicating users did not log off at that specific time (e.g. Some autocommitted objects still existed on logout for session).
In my belief this is very user unfriendly. Therefore I would like to propose functionality that allows an administrator to set a countdown timer and a display message when stopping the Mendix service. At the user end, this countdown timer and its message should be visible as well. This way users are well informed about the upcoming status of the application.
