I would like to be able to set timezones on dates depending on a place in the world rather than the user location.
This way I can represent at what time events happens in local time without interferance from the users time settings.
If I use UTC time and just show the time there is a possibility that the time is either ambigous or missing during the daylight savings changes. When the clock is turned back the time is ambigous and when it is moved forward it is missing.
Being able to set the timezone would also make calculations of durations over the daylight saving change possible. or at least I hope that they would be correctly calculated.
