automatically add separator to attribute or not

I have a date field where I need to type DD-MM-YYYY. If I don't type - I get a message that the field is not filled correctly. I want to make the field so that I can fill in the following. 1-1-2023 01-1-2023 1-01-2023 01-01-2023 01012023 is that possible?
