Using addons and implementing charts is good practice or manual process i.e: creating charts by copying js code and using html snippets, is good practice?

I think you would be better off using the add-ons and charts you can find in the appstore whenever they fit your needs because these are maintained & updated regularly and because it saves you a lot of work.
