Seperate datagrid filters from grid

For UX purposes it would be great if the filters of the datagrid can be moved seperately from the grid. In that way you can place the filters anywhere you want on the page. I hoped with some SCSS-skills I would manage to make the design below, but unfortunately I found out it is not possible:
