I love the new Excel export in DataGrid2, but I have a lot of grids with custom content.
Would the following be an idea?
* Have "Export to XLS" as column capability
* If that "Export to XLS" is true, you need to select an attribute for the column.
The exporter will then just use the attribute value in the export. If the content is really custom, you can then also just choose not to export that column.

Yes please! This will save a lot of time building work arounds!
Yes, to export also custom content is desperately needed. If the custom content just displays a string based on DS this should not be a problem.
That would solve most of the issues with exporting to Excel!
