An example of this: In a gallery widget I have an object, LibraryItem, which has a list of Label objects associated to it. Out of the box, I cannot do a text search based on the label objects. This seems like a fairly common use case for text search.
I do realize that I can add a drop down filter using association to the column of a datagrid 2, however, this is not the best user experience for the end user.
This use case has come up several times on my team lately and we have had to create custom search function. Seems like something that is possible to include in the out of the box grid wide filtering capabilities.
On data grid, we were able to use the grid search widgets but that is no longer an option.
