Data Grid 2 widget - to support Tree structure for BOM
Hey all,
I noticed in our Mendix platform, there is not really a widget that supports showcasing a Bill Of Material structure. After a lot of analysis mainly based on ease of, I came across a react Library, which is very similar to our Data Grid 2, so my suggestion if Data Grid 2 can adopt this feature in the future (or another widget with DataGrid2 features as basis and extends these BOM focused features), this could be a real deal breaker for many Industries. Here is below a screenshot, of how it looks and some of the basic features the table offers, I have also provided a link to the library below:
It supports the following features, similar to the current Data grid 2, but a bit different, which is more focused to BOM users:
- Show/Hide Global search
- Show/Hide Column Filters
- Show/Hide Columns : also Pin/Unpin to the right or left of the table: supporting dynamic column configurations.
- Toggle density.
If anyone is interested in this idea, do take time to view the react library, please do give a thumbs-up, if you see this idea a benefit for your usecase. I would love seeing this idea being adopted to the Data Grid2 or a widget that has all the best in practice datagrid 2 approach as basis, to extend the above features.
