Enum Selector widget not listening to editability of data view

Hi all, Apparently the Enum Selector widget doesn't ‘listen’ to the editability of the DataView it is placed in, hence will stay editable when the data view isn't. It is also mentioned already in reviews of the widget that this feature is lacking. Did anybody already solve this before? Else I will have to, but hoping someone else already did... Thanks!
