Filtering Reference Selector Results Based on Form Answer

Hello, Could anyone recommend a solution or learning path for solving the following issue: When completing a form for a customer location, I have a reference selector that allows for the selection of a customer, and immediately after that I have a reference selector to then choose the associated child location of the customer. I would like to filter the second selectors results to locations only applicable to the customer selected in the prior selector. I am not sure how to pass that specific value from the first question in a manor allowing for the second to then filter the results. Thanks again.
